U2 / Bono 1993

Reimagined U2 Bono Rolling Stone magazine cover art done in acrylic, ink, pencil crayon with a resin poured finish. This was 1993 when U2 was coming into their long stretch of being on the top of the rock charts and massive tours. This was their 8th album Zooropa, and after Joshua Tree, Rattle and Hum, and Atchung Baby, they were on fire. This cover shows the confidence and power Bono was now wielding. Also noted on this cover is Annie Lennox, Metallica, and a new band called Pearl Jam were topping the annual music awards. Who knew that almost 30 yrs later those bands would be as huge as they are. U2 still had many years of creating great albums ahead.

This cover is reimagined in acrylic, pencil, and ink with a resin finish. Size: 24” x 30” x 2”
