Rod Stewart 1977

It was 1977 and Rod was on top of his game. Foot Loose & Fancy Free was delivering hits like Hot Legs and You’re in My Heart. By all accounts Rod was in top form but little did he know that his next album, the disco-infused Blondes Have More Fun was going to pump out the massive hit single Do Ya Think I’m Sexy and take things to the next level. After that, Rod was now a bonafide cultural icon and rockstar. But until this point in 1977, he was still talking about his times in The Faces and all the friction after the break-up. His trajectory upward was just beginning and over the next 40+ years, he is still performing and still a cultural icon. There are not many performers out there that have that longevity and production!

This cover is reimagined in acrylic, spray paint, pencil, and ink.
