Bobby Orr 1977

I found my old collection of hockey cards from when I was a kid at my Mom’s house a while back. I was excited to dig in to try to find my rookie Wayne Gretzky cards (yes, I had two), but they were not there. I had obviously put them somewhere safe so I wouldn’t lose them…just wish I could remember where that place was…

But, I did find this awesome Bobby Orr card. Anyone into hockey knows the mark he left on the game, but what I didn’t know was that he wasn’t always a Boston Bruin. He was traded to Chicago where he played out his last year of his career but e will always be remembered in a Bruins uniform. So learned that this is actually a rare card. I loved the image and cool 70’s hockey vibe it had so I decided to make my own version of it. If you are a old time hockey fan and a Bobby Orr fan, you will appreciate this piece. I love the vibe, and story this will give to any room it’s hung in.

This piece is mixed media on panel board with acrylic, pencil, and ink finished in resin.
