Keith & Mick 1975

It’s only Rock n’ Roll but I like it.

I REALLY love this one! I might have to keep it for a while. The early 70’s era of the Stones is my favourite and this photo pretty much says it all. They were setting the bar for what we know as “rockstar” today. Keith at this time is obviously a “dirty junkie” (his own words) and they were living the rockstar dream. He got it together long enough for a couple shots for the cover by Annie Leibovitz and that was it. The past 5 years had been non-stop for the Stones and they were showing their wear. Looking back now they would never create like that again but keep finding some hits here and there. No one, I mean no one, would have bet a dime that these guys would still be performing 40 years later, let alone still be alive.
Especially Keith. He’s the real Stone.

This cover is reimagined in acrylic, pencil, and ink with a resin finish. Size: 24” x 30” x 2”
