Rage Against the Machine

I got to see Rage Against the Machine at Lollapalooza 3 in Michigan in 1993 and I have never seen a band leave it all on the stage like that before. How they did that every night and kept up that energy, particularly lead singer Zack de la Rocha. He had to be exhausted after every show letting all that out. Some great tunes came out of these guys. “Killing in the Name of” was my go-to song I would listen to on my way to play hockey for many years. Still one of my favourite songs that gets turned up to 11 when I’m driving.

This mixed media piece is created using collage, acrylic, pencil, spray paint, and ink with a resin finish on wood panel.
